Find your people♥
Some PFLAG Tampa gatherings are about support. Some are about learning. Some are just an excuse to eat garlic bread in a park with a bunch of LGBTQ+ people and the people who love them. All of them are about connection.
Gays Eating Garlic Bread in the Park♥
Yes, the name is literal. Join PFLAG Tampa for a gloriously unserious afternoon in the park built around good food, good people and an extremely reasonable appreciation for garlic bread.
Good vibes.
Good company.
Bring Your Own
Garlic Bread
Sometimes you need people who get it.
Our monthly support gathering is the heart of PFLAG Tampa. LGBTQ+ people, parents, caregivers, family members, friends and allies come together to listen, share, ask questions and build community.

There’s more than one way to show up.
You don’t need to become “a PFLAG person” before participating. Start with the kind of gathering that feels right.
I just want community.
Start with a social gathering where the agenda is mostly meeting people and having a good time.
Garlic Bread → 02I could use some support.
Join the monthly gathering and be around people who understand what you or someone you love may be navigating.
Get Support → 03I want to get involved.
Help create the next gathering, volunteer, partner with us or bring PFLAG into your organization.
Get Involved →This is what showing up looks like.
Over the years, PFLAG Tampa has gathered to celebrate, remember, raise support, advocate and simply be together. Different reasons. Different rooms. Same idea: community happens when people show up for one another.
of leading with love
Ten years deserved a party.
PFLAG Tampa marked its 10th anniversary the way a community milestone should be marked: together.
It was a chance to celebrate the people who built the chapter, the people who kept showing up, and a decade of support, education, advocacy and friendship across Tampa Bay.
together
Every year, Tampa gathers to remember.
Since 2019, PFLAG Tampa has helped convene Tampa’s annual Transgender Day of Remembrance gathering, creating a public space to honor transgender people lost to violence and to stand visibly with Tampa Bay’s trans community.
At this gathering, we honored Jenny DeLeon alongside community members and Tampa City Councilman Luis Viera.
raising community
Sometimes the community throws the fundraiser.
At this gathering with Tampa Pride, local community leaders and supporters came together to raise funds for PFLAG Tampa.
The event brought together Mark and Carrie of Tampa Pride, the founders of NY NY Pizza in Ybor City, and members of the broader Tampa LGBTQ+ community.
The easiest way into community is to show up♥
Come eat garlic bread. Join a support meeting. Start with whichever feels easiest. We’ll meet you there.
